The Diamond Service Experience

I had joy and I had fun. The people behind the excellence of the Diamond Hotel taught me everything that they could share: history of the Hotel and even about their personal life. They taught me how a hotel works and all of them were amazed that they knew I am just an 18-year-old. I am thankful that the hotel accepted an 18-year-old because as Mr. Gil Acuna said: “You are lucky they accepted as young as 18 years old… It is because of the name of BENILDE.”

Working in a hotel is not that easy and every work is not that easy as counting 1-2-3. The first thing that came into my mind before I entered Diamond Hotel Philippines, I thought it would be that easy because we will just be “shadows” during our stay but it was a mistake. They treated us as a regular employee and they do not care if we were just some trainees. They really trained us to be competent hoteliers.

Since childhood, I was thinking of what I would be when I grow up. When my 3rd year in high school came in 2007, I saw many Filipinos working in hotels and chefs working in restaurants, hotels, etc. My batch mates were always laughing because I was the only one who chose this field but it was proven wrong. Now, look what field is on the top. The hotel and restaurant was the 2nd place and Nursing is in the 1st place then.

Diamond Hotel has their female General Manager who is Ms. Vanessa Ledesma Suatengco and she was the first "FILIPINA" General Manager of a 5-star Hotel.

The hotel also has their "Singing Idol". They have it for fun only. (laughs)

Today, November 24, 2009 I would remember the laughs, tears and hardships in the hotel but I always have a positive outlook.

I always think if I can be a competent hotelier. But, I always hope to be on the top. I would like to thank the people who supported and gave more light in my life:
